We have really enjoyed our summer here in DC, and it went by so fast! We are leaving to drive home in 2 weeks. We tried to fit everything in that we wanted to see and I think we did a pretty good job. This is a list of everything we have done so far:
George Washington memorial(we even took a tour and went up to the top!)
Lincoln memorial, Jefferson Memorial, World War II memorial, Korean War memorial, Vietnam Memorial, FDR memorial, The National Gardens, Watched the 4th of July fireworks in the National Mall, Toured the Capital, National Garden museum, Holocaust museum, Air and Space museum, Natural history museum, Fine Art museum, National Aquarium, Ford's Theater, The House were Lincoln died, Ft. McHenry in Baltimore, Mount Vernon, Monticello, Gettysburg, Jamestown, Williamsburg, Toured the Library of Congress, the National Archives, The National Postal Service Museum, Toured the old Post office tower, Walked all over New York, Went to a Yankees game, Went to Time Square, Wall street, Ground Zero, and tons more. Old town Alexandria, the Washington DC Temple, Saw the pentagon, Arlington National Cometary(on Memorial Day, Iwo Jima Memorial, China Town friendship Arch, Masonic Temple in old Town Alexandria, National Native American Museum, and I'm sure I am missing others.

And we still have 2 weeks to fit some more in! On the Way home we plan on stopping in Kirkland, Chicago, Nauvoo, Winter quarters, and Buena Vista CO. (Abe's aunt and uncle live there.) It will be a long drive but we are going to have a lot of fun! We should be home in Utah around Aug. 17. We can't wait to see everyone!
