Fourth of July

It was really surreal being in the mall waiting for the sun to go down so we could watch the fireworks. We sat in between the George Washington Memorial and the World War II Memorial. To our left was a stage where live music was being performed by various country singers, and the fireworks were shot off right in front of us on either side of the reflecting pool. It was amazing how many people were there. Especially considering the entire Mall was evacuated just hours before because of Tornado Warnings and an insane rain storm that past through and soaked all of us. But it past through within an hour and dried back up pretty quick. Just in time for the fireworks!
