The Air and Space Museum Plane Hanger

There are actually 2 Air and Space Museums, most people don't know that. The first is in the National Mall with the other museums and the other is an actual plane hanger out by the Dulles airport, which is right by where we live. We have been saying that we would go see it since we moved here and never have until Thanksgiving weekend. It is really cool, they have all kinds of planes there, and in the picture above we are standing in front of a real space shuttle! It was huge and in real life it looks kind of fake, like it was a giant space shuttle toy.

Here the boys are in front of a stealth jet that has the world speed record. I can't remember exactly what it was but I remember that they once flew this from California to DC in something like 1 hour 40 min! Someday when we are really stinking rich, Abe and I will be buying one of these babies for all of our travel needs. Wouldn't that be great!

The plane behind Abe is called the "Enola Gay". This is the plane that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima.
There was a ton to see and we were only there for a few hours so we didn't have a chance to see everything.
