Today was a great day for a marathon. It was nice and sunny but still a little cool. We started out the day with a plan to wake up at 5 am and be on our way to the race by 5:30 am. Apparently last night my phone rang around 2 am and Abe thinking it was the alarm clock reached over and turned it off...oops! haha.
So we actually woke up at 6:20 am and had to speed all the way to the race. The race starts at 7 am but luckily for us they allow runners to start up until 7:30 am. It's a long story how we got to the starting line in time but we will just say that we moved a few barriers and slipped past a sleeping cop so we could drive right up to the starting line and the boys just jumped out and made it to the start by 7:25 am!!! Yeah, we did it! After that I parked the car after getting lost for about 30 mins and made my way over to the finish line to wait for the boys. What is crazy is by the time I got to the finish line the first half marathon runners were already coming in!
As I walked around looking for a place to put my fold out chair and wait I saw this really cute Jack Russel Terrier and it reminded me of my puppy at home, Champ. So I sat down next to them and made friends. It was great because she let me hold her cute dog Molly and I had someone to talk to while we both waited and it made it a lot more fun.
Here are Abe's brothers, Adam, Andrew and if you look to the far right you can barely see the back end of AJ. Adam and Andrew were actually signed up to run the full marathon because when they went to register the half marathon was full. So they decided to sign up for the full but only run the half. The problem with this plan was as they were running in so were the first Full marathon runners...the really crazy fast winners. So Adam and Andrew had to take off their shirts that had their bibs that said "Full Marathon runner" on them so people wouldn't think that they had run the full marathon.
Abe called me when he had less than a mile to go in the Full marathon and he sounded pretty tired so all three of his brothers ran down to were he was and jumped the fence to run in with him. Here they are from far away. They we sprinting from way back there and they ran that fast all the way in! Even though the brothers had been resting Abe still beat them in.
Abe's final time was 4 hours and 2 mins. He ran the first half with his brothers and then did the rest on his own. I am always so proud of him, what a guy!

Congrats on the marathon, and on the other thing.
I can't believe that you guys are having a baby! That is so great! Bridger told us that he can't wait to meet his new friend.
..okay, Bridger can't talk, but I am sure if he could, that is what he would say.
Cass wanted me to say that I posted that. She does not want to be responsible for saying something so stupid.
