To all of you that don't know what Pi Day is, I will explain. Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th also known as 3-14. It is celebrated on this specific day because the mathematical Pi= 3.14. So we hosted a Pi Day party and our place last night and it was a big hit. We started the evening by eating pizza pies from Costco. Yummy I love Costco pizza! We also had everyone that came bring a pie of their choice for all of us to share which we enjoyed later in the evening, and we gave out special prizes for these 5 different categories:
1. Best Presentation
2. Best tasting
3. Most exceeded expectations
4. Honorable mention
5. Best all around pie
Everyone got a prize for their pie and it was a very tastey competition.
The Purdy's waited till just before we ate to put together their pie master piece which won them best presentation.
I made my grandma's Pink pie's and made them individuals just because I thought they were cute. I recieved the award for Most exceeded expectations. haha Apparently my friends didn't expect much from my tiny pies.
To burn off some of the calories we had ingested we played games which involved circles such as: Hula hooping in strange and unusual ways, mini basket ball shooting, and Pi trivia. The hula hoops went over the best.
