Take Us Out to the Ball Game

Yesterday we went with the Smallwoods and some of their friends to a Washington Nationals baseball game. It's a new stadium and it is really nice, and it was very affordable which Abe loves. Only $5 per person, of course we were way up top but we didn't care. It was the Colorado Rockies vs. Washington Nationals. We didn't know who to cheer for...the West or the East?

I am not a huge baseball fan but there is something about the great American pastime that is very nostalgic when you go to a game.

I especially liked that it was a night game so it was nice and cool. You can kind of see it in this picture but the moon was huge and it was totally red!

Abe and I left around the 5th inning because we both had really bad headaches and we wanted to get home in time to see Phelps swim his last race. We were both so glad we left when we did because on the way home both of our headaches turned into migraines. By the time we got home we were both nausious and just wanted to go to sleep. I think it was a combination of walking in the sun all day, dehydration, and staying up late every night this week to watch the Olympics and then still waking up early every morning. We both slept in today it was great!
