So Long DC, Hello Utah

Yes, it is true. We are officially moving back to Utah! Abe received a job offer from Goldman Sachs and he has accepted it. I am so proud of him because this will be a great opportunity for his career.

This move brings on a mixture of emotions for us. Moving to Utah will bring us closer to family, which will be a great support when we have the twins. Also, we will be happy to see old friends and have all of the recreation that living near the mountains offers again.

On the other hand, we absolutely love DC, especially Reston VA. We will sorely miss the great friends we have made here and our ward family that we have fallen in love with. Abe and I have been married for 4.5 years and we have lived out here for 3 of those years. This has truly become our home and we are very sad to leave it behind for now.

Plans are still a little up in the air as far as the time line goes but Abe will most likely start work on November 1st. Which means that we will be moving out sometime mid to late October.

We are excited, nervous, sad and happy all at the same time but all we can do is trust in God that this is what is right for our family right now and jump in head first.

This is a historic day for the state of Utah.

Many years down the road our grandchildren will ask us "Where were you when you found out the Fords were moving to Utah."

This event is so monumental that Hollywood is already planning a made for TV movie based on this exciting, soon to be true story.

Congratulations Fords! We are so happy for your family and the new job, but sad that we won't be visiting you in Reston anymore!! At least Utah is closer to CA so maybe we can fit in a Disneyland trip sometime. :)
